Just finished the first round of 'official' edits. I think the next round will be lighter (not that there was much to this one, wrote about 1 page of new material in one scene, the rest was mostly formatting stuff and correcting a bunch of my quirks).
I want to skim through it one more time tomorrow before sending it off to my editor, then back to the wip. Last night I was watching an episode of Nip/Tuck and there was a scene where Christian says to some girl 'It's not that I don't love you, I just want us to be friends', or something like that. That line really struck a chord with me.
I changed it a bit, and then played 'what if'. What if my hero said it to my heroine, what would happen then? What if my heroine said it to the hero, where would the plot go from there? I've decided who says it to whom, and I'd really like to get a rough sketch of the outline down on paper now that I've got several mini black moment/turning points.

Oh oh. I see the beginning of the end. You're now editing and rewriting, not just tv show scenes, but DIALOG. It's the sign of the writer unable to stop writing. LOL.

As to Nip/Tuck I love the first few seasons--some really stellar characterization but last season sucked =(

Gennita, it feels like I'm wired on something. And, as usual, when you're trying to concentrate on one (or two) projects, several others ambush you. :-P

I've only ever watched Nip/Tuck sporatically; and every time I caught it I swore I'd start watching regularly. I even bought a season's dvd set..... and have yet to watch it. lol. But totally agree, stellar characterization, and I love the mix of humor and drama.
OK You have to watch next season. The guy who plays Raja on Aliens in America (OMG you ARE watching AIA?!) is supposed to step in as a young plastic surgeon prodigy while Sean is recovering.
