Touching base & BATMAN stuff.

Work has been seriously kickin' my ass this week. I actually fell asleep at 6:45pm on Tuesday, woke up at 10:15pm, and went back to sleep by 12pm. I can't wait for the weekend. No plans but to veg, watch some tv/dvd, and write. (maybe do the laundry.)

Not much writing happening because don't have enough energy to rub to brain cells together to produce much, *but* I am thinking about the characters/story constantly. This one might just do me proud.

Also, thinking about dusting off ms#1, I retired it after a round of agent submissions, but that was my first round. I had the second round all researched and ready to send to, then starting second guessing myself all over the place. I figure if everyone and their mom rejects the book, then I have a couple of ideas to tweak the plot--at some point in the future.

Last thing, we saw BATMAN. Twice. I really loved the movie (obviously). A big part of my enjoyment came from the fact that this latest installment of the franchise is a character-driven one. Of the original trilogy, the 2nd one, with Catwoman, was my favorite, because it delved the deepest into the character of the protagonists.

cesperanza (by way of Anna Louise Genoese ) posted an excellent review on the movie. Some other blog posts on the movie here, here, here, here, here, and here

And little history on BATMAN, for those interested.

**Gawd, I love Google and the copy n' paste function. Saves. My. Ass. Every. Time.

If you're doing laundry, would you like to come to my house?

I'm considering the whole resubmitting thing too... if you see my sanity anywhere, would you return it to me?

Sanity? Que c'est 'sanity'?

Let's do it. What the hell. At least we'll know we explored all avenues.

Dude, let me know how CINDERELLA MAN works out for you.

Suzanne, I loved the pics of your trip. You have to write a book with that setting. Yes, see BATMAN, it's your type of movie!

I'm glad too Jordan, ever since you posted you'd seen it, I've been dying to.

Sash, you should have posted in the blog post one up. gg. But that's alright, that makes 4 of us, me, Cece, Steph and you. :-)
