Shopping spreeees! (Especially for sexy shoes!)

Delicious greasy fat-laden junkfood,

Hmmmmmm....dessert.

Every now and again, a glass full of creamy Baileys it goes down easy....

I jes can't seem to quit you, Diana Palmercrackycrack!

Rancher Jared Cameron was a mystery to everyone in Jacobsville, Texas…and he liked it that way. Only sweet-natured bookseller Sara dared to intrude on his privacy—informing the loner that a book on ogres might be more appropriate for a man of his qualities. Charmed by her audaciousness, Jared seduced the town's plain Jane. But their burgeoning relationship soon thrust Sara into Jared's hidden world of intrigue.
Now the iron cowboy had to steel himself for the fight of his life…and his heart.

Geez, a lot of people have a thing for Palmer. I haven't read her in YEARS.
(And I LOVE those shoes!)

I also have a secret love of Diana Palmer's novels. But then, since all the covers and stories are so similar, I started to forget which ones I had read and which ones I hadn't so it's been a while...

But yes... crack.

Amie - does he call her a ho after sex? *ggg*

Not yet. But I suspect I might not find out. This is going to be a DNF. I thought I'd finish this one in a couple of hours but I've only gotten as far as 50 pages in and not really interested in reading more. This not even close to the best Palmer crackycrack. More like oregano being passed off as Hawaiian Gold.

Raine- I read a Palmer book about once a year or every other year. I like her Alpha doucebag heroes, but this guy doesn't even feel real. And he's certainly not acting his age. And there's this weird schism whre the h/H are supposed to be modern characters, but there's something about the way they're written that feels old-fashion.

Frustrated Writer, I hear ya on the titles/covers. The branding needs is good, but there needs to be more distinction between the books themselves, the way JR Ward, or PBW's books have a look, yet look different by image/color.

Gennita - Those shoes are rockin, aren't they? I wished I'd bought them. :-P I love hair on guys, this manscaping/waxed smooth as a baby's butt thing really doesn't do it for me on a grown man. I'm not talking Robin Williams, I'm talking Tom Selleck as Magnum, or Burt Reynolds (in his Cosmo centerfold days).
