1. I might be a little quiet around here this month. I'm going to do an informal Nanowrite all by my lonesome. Writing on the Quickpad in the days, downloading and tweaking that stuff in the evenings. I *know* Nano is about writing straight through. I'm not that writer. From previous experience I know I'll write right into a dead-end. And since this is the wip and not some brand new experimental thing (where I've done all the prep-work, etc), I don't feel too badly about adapting the rules to suit my needs. Anywho, I'm hoping for 100 pages (which really isn't that much).

Plus there are other things around here I'm not keeping up with, ie housework, going to the gym, etc, and we've been eating far too much take out lately too.

I must be the only person in the world not doing nano. :-(

LOL. I know what you mean, Amie. Which kinda scares me, now that I think about it. :-P

You always do good at writing straight. I'm not worried. :-)

Shesawriter. I'm not doing Nano, per se. I'm just trying to keep my rear in gear. I had a lot of personal goals for this year. Many of them have been met, but... it's going to take a bloody miracle to get my one and only writing related goal accomplished: finish an ms. At this point I'm aiming to finish 1/2 an ms. ;-) lol.

I managed to squeeze out 2 1/2 pages on my Quickpad during my lunch. With tweaking, etc, that stretched to 3 1/2 pages, and the end of this bloody chapter. I've been trying to write these 3 1/2 lousy pages to end this damn chapter for a couple of weeks now. So, end of chapter 3 (yep, the chptr I seemed to have stalled on forever) and still no hero #2. :-/

He has to put in a brief appearance at the begining of chapter 4, and hopefully at the end. I'm getting to the point where I'm going to have to bang out a synopsis. The first 5 chapters are always a pain in the ass with me, but I've never had to worry about a sagging middle, or an ending that just can't come together. In fact, I have to make sure that all the conflicts/plot points I've planted in the begining of the ms, get worked through properly in the middle and ending.

Good luck!!!! NaNo scares me...

Thanks, Larissa (another chica I verra happy for!). Nano'ing scares me too. :-P I think what I'm doing is more like BICHOKing (Butt-In-Chair-Hands-On-Keyboard) or in plainer language, I've SFA (Stopped F*cking Around)

I'm making myself do NaNo - I'm hoping if I can get the kind of discipline to make myself write more, then I'll actually have something that I've written to worry about polishing. :)

Good luck on your informal NaNo!
