Guilty Pleasure

Today after work...

I went to Blockbuster....

And rented......

I got the last copy in the store (after making the clerk check the two returns bins and the pile of DVDs behind the counter that were ready to go back on the shelves.)

DS came into the room while I was watching the movie, saw one death, shook his head, gave me the 'side eye' and left the room. LOL.

I can't help myself. I love these stupid movies!! At least I can hold on to some self respect by only renting them, not seeing them first run. :-P

Can I admit one more thing....?

I hope they make more of them

mwahahahhahaaaa

Okay, don't kill me, but I bought it at wally, based on the first two... I liked fine. I didn't think it was as good as the others. I kept thinking if I was in high school I might like it. (wince) sorry. I know they aren't (deep) movies, but the dialogue and the (death is coming for you) scenes didn't seem as intense as the first two. Could have been my mood, but there was somthing missing for me. I'll take cyber slaps for this opinion:) I know lol. I've been on a movie binge lately (unusual for me) which consisted of mostly intense movies, so that could be it.

EveAsbury/Gayle Eden (aka)Dian or EvieMac....slinks off..(sniff)

I saw a commercial for this in Miami Vice on Fri. As soon as the words came up, I closed my eyes, clapped my hands over my ears and told my friend to tell me when it was over. Not my type of movie. :::Shudder:::

DuuuudE! Things settled down on your end? I have checked in on your blog from time to time, but you were laying real low. ;-)

Evie. I agree, about the scare factor. I think they were too heavy handed with the telegraphing in this outing, for one thing. But I still think the premise that you can't cheat death is cool. And I love the 'creative' ways they come up with to kill of the characters. lol. I told ds I wanted to buy the set. I figure if he owns all the Chuckie movies, he's in no position to make desparaging remarks to me. lol.

Kat, these movies are kinda funny (the way JASON or FREDDY are funny. *gg*) How was Miami Vice? I want to see it this weekend.

Do you know, I haven't seen the first two movies? LOL. But stupid movies are sometimes the best.

LOl Jaq. I've never been in a tanning bed (I'm a red head) Now I know I'll never go to one. I'd fry like that without the heat turning up... I was like (oh m'God) seeing their skin blister off.
The premise, yes, that's what turned me on the first two. Sorta the opposite of fate, changing fate seems possible but cheating death? Hadn't thought of it in just that way.

Really, Kat? :-/ I haven't gone to the movies At All this summer. I really want to see one movie. Maybe I'll see Pirates instead (although I'd pretty much decided to buy the DVD and see it then.)

Stupid movies that are guilty pleasures are the absolutely bestest, Michelle! lol.

Eve, that's a perfect example of the 'telegraphing' I was talking about. I knew the minute those girls decided to go tanning they were both going to get the Foreman Grill treament. lol.

Too too true! Both the boys wanted to see it but it scared the SHIT Out of #2. I definitely think there'll be more. I wanna see the one coming out next week about the spirits and the friend who dies, name escapes me, but i'm too chicken to go alone.

I hafta see MIAMI, if only because I refuse to let the summer go by without seeing one movie. In fact, the last movie we saw in theatres, was LUCKY No. SLEVIN. Plus it's a long weekend over here. ;-)

*sigh* well I won't be seeing MV this weekend. I'm supposed to get together with a one of my bestfriends in a couple of weeks for dinner/dessert catchup (haven't seen each other in months) and we decided to see the movie together.

Guess now I'll hafta write! gg
