Pre-School Test

Sunday, January 15, 2006

Pre-school children were asked the following question:

"In which direction is the bus pictured below traveling?"

Look carefully at the picture.

Do you know the answer? The only possible answers are "left" and "right." Think about it .

Still don't know? I'll post the answer in comments later.

Okay, I know it's not an answer . . . but it looks like "forward."

LOL. Thanks, Linda, I needed that giggle.

It's weird. The first thing that popped into my head was that it wasn't traveling at all. It was stopped. *ggg* Jordan

Linda, I think you're right ... it's the headlights and grill ... I wasn't seeing that but was trying to figure out how you could. Now I see it and think you're quite right.

My first thought was 'stopped' too.

But you say the answer must be left or right...hmmm. I say right.

And we want to know why our kids are so screwed up?? :-O

Yup, I think the answer is left and right.

I'm glad I didn't go to pre-school. I'd a flunked! Now that I've read Linda's answer, I'd have to agree that the durned thing is going to run me over!

I stared so hard at this bus that the bus started to look like a dashboard. The bus isn't moving left nor right. It's directionless.

I give up, Jaye. My guess is, "It's not moving, right?"

Ok, I thought about this. The play on words there saying that the answer can only be left and right. The bus must be moving right then? Forward? I give up. This is driving me crazy.

The pre-schoolers all answered, "left."

When asked, "Why do you think the bus is traveling in the left direction?" they answered:

"Because you can't see the door."

Well, I confess I was only guessing!
When I was going to school, the covered wagons didn't HAVE doors!!

What if it's a British bus? Then it would be going right, because the doors on the other side..
right?

Jaye said...

Oh, look, two class clowns. Raine and Sasha, I'm separating you two.

Sasha said...

*ppssst Raine, meet me after class and we'll go check out the bus."

Jaye said...

If you two get on the bus, you're sitting up front where i can keep an eye on you.
