Supernatural Smallville

Did you guys watch Supernatural last night? What did you think? Initially I didn't care for the God-commanded-it thing, (still don't).

But aside from the Almighty's input, it looks like it's shaping up to be an epic battle between good and evil, with the brothers possibly on opposite sides--what with Sam supposedly some sort of saviour for the demons, and now Dean being recruited for G-d(!?!?) by Arch-angel Michael(?).

Now that I step back, I can see that they've been leading up to this story arc since day one. Prime example of some very good writing/plotting (unlike dumbass Smallville writers who've been taking turns on the shitter and scrying through the results for the fodder the next week's episode. yeah, I went there. (and yeah, it was uncalled for, I realize it takes a phenomenal amount of talent and hard work to write hit tv series, but I must find an outlet for my rage towards a show that had a natural ending (in the freakin barn with the stupid emo music playing the background while Kent and Lana gazed soulfully in each others' eyes) a couple of seasons ago).

I have it taped, but I haven't watched it yet. Not sure about the deity stuff, but the good vs evil thing has been hinted at a lot. Hmm...

If they go for it, I'll give them kudos for having the balls to turn brother against brother, when all the fans have been rooting for them both. Should definitely make for interesting watching.

Ooops! Didn't mean to give spoilers, Jordan. Although it won't spoiler the viewing at all. I really tip my hat to the writer(s) of this series, I can't wait to see how this season developes. Already you can sort of see the brothers keepin secrets from each other, where before they'd never do that unless they thought they were protecting the other.
