Joke

I've been a bad blogger lately, I know. Just stuff going on in real-life from on-going training at work and increased duties (that often translate to bringing work home) to illness (I finally shook that damn cold this week!) to writing (yes, I have been in bits and spurts) and trying to nuture my longtime friendships a bit better than I've been doing in the last years. It's nice to know we can depend on each other, but things, and peeps, were starting to feel neglected.

And then there are the centipedes. ugh. We have them off on one in the house. The last week has been an on week. ugh. I've got a long list of things to do (mostly off line this weekend) but there's also a bunch of writerly business-side stuff to take care of, so I'll be scarce. Look for another joke tomorrow.

A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him and asked, "What are all those clocks?"

St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move."

"Oh," said the man, "whose clock is that?"

"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."

"Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"

St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life."

"Where's President Bush's clock?" asked the man.

"Bush's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."
