Okay...I'm done and undone...

Pride and Prejudice is #22??!

Jane Eyre is way down in #87?!!

C'mon, folks--read some of the classics, for goodness sake! Romance novels didn't just pop up 25 years ago, and these books didn't survive all these decades for no reason!

And the historical died...when? ::insert sarcasm here::

I've never believed in the death of the historical and this list proves it is alive and well.

Anyway, I think I've read 6 or 7. Isn't that sad? And P&P and JE were two of them. The rest were all by Suzanne Brockmann and one SEP. Oh, and the JDRobb.

I don't spend much time reading "the classics" of the genre. I like reading up and comers. I think I actually may have read a few more of these many moons ago, but I don't remember.

Interesting list, though!

Raine - Shows you how clueless I am. It didn't click that they were listed in order of popularity. lol. While I love many of the books, I can't say that they would make *my* personal list in that order, of even make it at all.... ahem.

I read Wild Sarcasso Sea--enjoyable--but I've never read Jane Eyre. :-/

Julie, that's one thing that struck me as I went through the list, the amount of historicals on it. I think that's why I had such a high result. On the other hand I was surprised at how few contemps made it and/or I haven't read. I was also surprised that I've managed to collect just about every single book SEP's written and not read a one. lol. Also surprising... that Jen Cruisie didn't have a stronger showing.

I think this list is a few years old. It'd be interesting to see what would make the list now.
