In one of those little coincidences of life, I've had 2 different radio crank call links emailed to me recently from two different friends. Because they're such contrasts, I thought I'd post them together.
This first crank call is hysterical. I've heard it before, but it's still funny as hell every time I listen to it. Some radio station calls this woman claiming her Soc Sec cheque is going to be reduced. A bit of info she's not, shall we say, receptive to.... (NSFW/swearing).

Then there's this second call. On one hand it reminds me of a typical Maury Povich or Jerry Springer 'cheating' show, on the other hand, it's pretty heartbreaking.

I can't follow the links because I'm at home but I remember when I was growing up, I'd spend a night at my cousins house and she'd make crank calls.
One that sticks out in my mind was this:
She would find a number, dial it up and pray for an answering machine that listed at (least) a man and woman's name. Then she would drop her voice to this deep sex kitten rasp and start in with the, "Hey (insert name, where were you last night? I waited..." etc etc.
Isn't that awful?!?

I tried to listen but they were all broken up!
Damn Castpost! You're right, Cece, they do break up. Sorry guys. They really are funny as heck. :-P
